The Process of Making the Custom Metal Medal

In the past few years, the role of medals has become more and more important, occupying a dominant position. Copper is the material of choice for making medals, and the appearance of the metal medals produced is also very beautiful. This kind of metal material is relatively soft. What is the medal customization process?

1. The process of making the custom metal medal

① Design the artwork of the custom metal medal. With the popularization of computer technology, computer sketches replaced the previous manual drawings.

② Stamping. Install the heat-treated mold on the pressing table, and place different medal materials, such as a piece of copper or a piece of iron pressed by the pattern.

③ Punching material. Using the pre-made knife mold, the product is flushed down one by one with a punch according to its shape.

④ Polishing. Put the product punched out by the knife die on the polishing machine for polishing, which improves the smoothness of the product.

⑤Accessories for custom award medals. Solder the back of the product to the medal standard accessories or the accessories required by the customer.

⑥Plating and coloring the medals. The medals are electroplated according to the customer's requirements, which can be gold-plated, nickel-plated, copper-plated, etc., and then the medals are colored according to the customer's requirements, finished coloring, and high-temperature baking to enhance the color fastness. Through this step, medal manufacturers could produce the custom metal medal that customers are satisfied with.

2. The mold of the custom metal medal

The customized medal design draft is imported into the computer, and the engraving machine is designed to edit the tool path to engrave the mold. Pay attention to the thickness of the blade pattern during the engraving process, and check whether the mold is missing after engraving. Finally, the mold must be processed to enhance the hardness and durability of the mold.

Customized metal medals are made of copper, iron, zinc alloy, gold and silver and other metal materials through a certain medal process.
